What are you thankful for?

Thanksgiving 2008-So many reasons to be thankful!
I'm so thankful for this turkey, which was brined in buttermilk, apple juice, and fresh herbs for 48 hours.
I'm so thankful for the apron that was given to me by one of my students at Cary Academy.

I'm so thankful that my turkey didn't burn!

I'm so thankful for this savage. Isn't he so adorable? This was his first turkey leg!

Oh, I'm thankful for this meat-eating, turkey leg savage too!

Oh, there is a story behind this pie, but I'll spare Kyle the pain-again! The long and the short of this story...Kyle was "ordered", as Amanuel would say, to contribute to this Thanksgiving meal. After many days of procrastination, his original dessert didn't work out. He made this last minute Angus Barn pie, and it didn't work out so well for him either.

I'm also thankful for buttermilk biscuits, Dana's sweet potatoe casserole, and William's and Sonoma stuffing (sausage, cranberry, apples, onions, and celery!)

And, mostly, I'm thankful for this video! All my dreams have come true. This was a wonderful Thanksgiving!
